- Supreme Court. The Cornell University
Law School has full-text U.S. Supreme Court decisions available the day of release and
full certiorari lists and other orders. The official
Supreme Court site has expanded greatly and now has similar documents available.
- Maryland Courts. This site includes
selected cases from the Maryland Court of Appeals and the Maryland Court of Special
Appeals dating back to 1992 and other state-specific law information.
- Federal Laws and Regulations.
The National Archives and Records Administration provides full text of the Federal
Register, Code of Federal Regulations, Public Laws, presidential orders and other federal
legal sources.
- West's Legal Directory. West's Legal
Directory contains profiles of more than 800,000 U.S. law firms and attorneys. It is
searchable by name, state, town, type of law, college attended and other factors.
- FindLaw. FindLaw provides links to a wide range of
material helpful to legal reporters, from state and local bar associations to state laws.
- Criminal Justice Sources. A
detailed resource guide linking to a wide array of online data, statistics and expert
sources, published by the Center on Crime, Communities and Culture and the Columbia
Journalism Review.
